Walking Through The . . . - A Podcast Project
February 2007
The children enjoyed listening to the story "Walking through the jungle" by Debbie Harter. We decided to create our own stories. The children each picked a habitat and an animal that lived there to chase them. They picked the backgrounds from kidpix, drew their animal, had their picture taken, read their story and created a puppet show. We all had a great time! |

Charlotte's Web Technospud Project - A BubbleShare Album
January 2007
BubbleShare: Share photos - Safe Toys
|
Our class listened to the story Charlotte's Web and then we went on a field trip with the first through third graders to see the movie. Then we did our first KidPix project. The children created the background using the paint bucket tool, then they had to use the drawing or painting tools to create a picture from the story. To give my kindergarteners an added insentive to write, they get to print a color copy of the project if they type words on it. Later it will be a sentence and then two sentences. I think they did a good job for their first project. |
A Hunting We Will Go! - A Podcast Project
December 2006
This is our song "A Hunting We Will Go!" which we recorded in music class. Then we acted it out using masks we made in art class. We colored our background too. It was fun making this podcast. |

Off We Go! A Tribute to Grandparents! - A Podcast Project
November 2006
|
After reading the story Off We Go! the children all talked about visiting their grandparents. We also liked the pattern in the story. We practiced reading the story together. Then each child drew a picture and told something they liked doing at their grandparents house. This was our very first podcast ever. We liked the idea of creating a podcast because the children have family all over the world. By emailing the link, we were able to share our podcast with family near and far. |
